The Lions will send the #20 overall (their 2nd first rounder) and a fourth rounder to New England for Matt Cassel.
With the #1 overall they will select Eugene Monroe or Andre Smith to protect him. They can then grab an offensive player to spice it up with Kevin Smith, Calvin Johnson, and Cassel and focus on drafting new defensive players.
