Troy Smith Literally Begs Browns to Draft Him

Ohio State QB Troy Smith is back in the news again, this time begging his hometown Browns to take him in April's Draft. Troy has been seen wearing a Browns jacket out in public (see pic) and has mentioned at an awards ceremony that he would like to be the Browns future signal caller.

Brandon Meriweather Stomps Competition

And I dont mean a repeat of the FIU incident either. Meriweather was considered on of the best safety prospects down at Mobile's Senior Bowl according to experts. His stock has increased greatly and I expect him to be picked within the top 60 picks now.

Troy Smith is Officially 6 feet tall

Troy Smith measured up at the Senior Bowl a even 6 foot, which is suprising to many as he appears shorter in-game. Only time will tell how Troy's height will harm his stock.

Top 10 Mock Draft!

MOCK DRAFT 1-15-07

1. Oakland- Calvin Johnson WR GT
The Raiders will be saying goodbye to Randy Moss and Jerry Porter this offseason. They must rebuild their offense, and Andrew Walter has tons of potential and is in good favor with the people in Oakland. Their problems would only be amplified with the acquisition of a rookie QB. I believe they take the man beast #1.

2. Detroit- Adrian Peterson RB OU
The Lions are impossible to predict, taking first round wide recievers THREE years in a row. I fully expect them to take Peterson with the lack of production they get at RB and their failure with Joey Harrington may have them turned off to investing so highly in another first round QB.

3. Cleveland- JaMarcus Russell QB LSU
Culpepper Jr. is Romeo Crennels's last hope. I hope Braylon Edwards wont try to fight him like Charlie Frye...

4. Tampa Bay- Jamaal Anderson DE Arkansas
Tampa is expected to say goodbye to Simeon Rice very soon. Hopefully Jamaal is his heir apparent.

5. Arizona- Joe Thomas OT WISC
Protect your investment in Matt Leinart

6. Washington- Alan Branch DT Mich
I expect Dan Snyder to add Warren Sapp and Nate Clemets to his allstar D.

7. Minnesota- Dwyane Jarrett WR USC
Looking for Teddy Ginn? Nope. Get the real deal in DJ.

8. Houston- Brady Quinn QB Notre Dame
Carr is done, and Plummer is not going to be a reliable option.

9. Miami- Leon Hall, CB Michigan
This team is stocked on offense and will have to give Culpepper a legitimate shot in 08 to justify signing him. Matt Roth is a good player so I dont see Gaines Adams here, instead they go with Leon Hall who projects into an instant starter.

10. Atlanta- Tedd Ginn, WR OSU
Lelie will be a free agent, Roddy White and Jenkins are still spotty... Finneran is not a downfield threat. If you dont succeed try try again.

The Man Beast Is #1 Overall

Calvin Johnson is the #1 overall ranked player on Mel Kiper's Big Board. Would the Raiders dare? I think so.

Adrian Peterson Doesnt Want To Leave

..but he has to go right now. AP has flip flopped on his decision to enter the draft and the latest word is that the ball carrier from Oklahoma will be entering the draft.

Darius Walker Runs Away From The Bend

Notre Dame runningback Darius Walker has declared for the NFL Draft. Walker was on pace to set numerous records at Notre Dame next year but now he will be playing with the big boys. Darius is a great pro prospect and will undoubtedly be picked ahead of Garrett Wolfe and Tony Hunt.

Anthony Gonzalez is Crazy

OSU Widereciever Anthony Gonzalez declared for the NFL Draft today fresh off a 41-10 spanking from the hands of the Florida Gators. Anthony has been a decent reciever but by no means is he sniffing the first day in this loaded reciever draft. And there's this guy named Tedd Ginn, have you met him Anthony?

Johnson, Jarrett have HUGE days

Calvin Johnson and Dwayne Jarrett both cemented their slots as the top recievers in this years NFL Draft after their bowl showings this weekend. Johnson was previously thought to be the unamious #1 WR pick, but after Jarretts showing in the Rose Bowl things have changed.
